Anxieties

"Over 7 million people in the UK are living with anxiety"
- Mental Health Foundation 2009

Anxiety disorders are the most common of all psychological problems. They are more prevalent among women than men and they can affect children as well as adults.

All too often, they are mistaken for mental weakness and instability, and the resulting social stigma can discourage people with anxiety disorders from seeking help.

Anxiety disorders are illnesses that can be diagnosed and effectively treated.

Phobias

"Up to 77% of people will experience unreasonable fears with around 13% of us having a phobia of some kind that greatly restricts the way we live our lives.Up to 13% of us will have a phobia of some kind that greatly restricts the way we live our lives.”
- Mental Health Foundation 2009

For some people, phobias generate intense fear of a situation or an object that others would not worry about. This can severely restrict their lives, and may force them to take extreme measures to avoid whatever triggers their fear.

A phobia centers in on our natural reaction to fear. Cavenagh can provide a specially tailored support program that rationalises these fear and anxiety triggers, equipping the individual with the tools necessary to conquer their anxiety and phobia.

Case Histories

“My ten year old son’s abject fear of needles had been causing a major problem. With the help of Cavenagh, his phobia disappeared for good. I can only describe it as a miracle!”
