How we treat it

Cavenagh provides direct access to over 2000 qualified, experienced and security-cleared Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Psychotherapists, Clinical Hypnotherapists and Counsellors around the UK, many of whom are specialists in trauma and PTSD diagnosis and treatment.

The specialist will explain the particular type of therapy they recommend to each individual, agreeing goals and establishing helpful routines. The individual also has access to Cavenagh’s secure online support systems, providing a safe environment and resources to help them overcome the difficulties they are experiencing.

Typical course of treatments

Typically, the course of treatment will be 10 to 12 one-to-one sessions (45 - 60 minutes each) over a 3 to 4 month period. Some cases will of course require longer courses, or indeed follow-up sessions. These courses and support systems enable the individual to manage their trauma-related symptoms and focus on their present and future life.

Within commercial agreements arranged with public and private sector employers, individuals can call us for an initial assessment, following which we provide them with the most appropriate Cavenagh specialists in their locality and manage their treatment through to completion. All fees are met by the organisation with whom Cavenagh have the agreement.
